Queensland conveyancing reputation - BEWARE!

, ,

In this blog/video we discuss the importance of reputation in the conveyancing industry.

This blog/video is great for anyone who plans on buying or selling a property in Queensland. We explore some "horror" competitor reviews, and then contrast that to the points of difference that separate a good conveyancing experience from a poor one!

Hi everybody - George Sourris, Empire Legal.

Today's topic: Queensland conveyancing reputation - BEWARE!

Hey guys, back this week for another blog, George Sourris, Empire Legal. This week's topic -  REPUTATION. Can you do it cheaper? I got a letterbox drop from your competitor and they're cheaper than you. Why would I pay that extra money for you? The cheap is just as good, right?

I'm going to show you three competitor reviews that you can publicly find on Google:

Number one.

Not recommended. Shocking communication, lost emails, lack of confirmation when eventually received.  Mistake in final settlement amounts, but of course, not their mistake. Overall experience was not really caring.

Number two.

Avoid this company at all costs. Firstly, the amount charged at settlement was more than quoted. I had to email several times and then I called several times asking for my settlement statement. I had no idea what searches were actually conducted because they don't list them on their invoice.

Chelsea has no idea what she's doing. Tani hangs up on you when she's required to deal with the fallout of failing to do her job. The emails sent just after midnight show that Chelsea is not even located in Australia.  They then ignore emails, and it all falls apart.

Asked to be contacted by their team leader, but no call received 24 hours later. Still waiting.  Such a sour experience to what is supposed to be a happy moment. Doesn't even deserve the one star rating.

Number three.

Absolutely awful company to deal with. Terrible communication. Can never get on to speak to the person I need to, and the call queues are so very long. Say they're going to call me and I've been waiting three days. Cannot give clear answers. I want to pay for my property to initiate settlement and they can't even organise that. Thoroughly disgusted. What a waste of time, effort and money.

Pretty depressing to hear these reviews, right? Trust me, it's absolutely not what you want to be experiencing when you have a property under contract. I wouldn't be happy if that was my experience. People's life savings are tied up in their homes.

Do you want the best of the business to represent you? Or do you want the people that make mistakes  and don't return calls and emails, but they're a little bit cheaper?  At Empire Legal, we have over 2,500+ five star Google reviews as at January 2025.  We don't have reviews like the ones I just read out. Why? Because we actually care about our clients and the professionals that we work alongside.

Google us yourself and read our reviews. Also, our pricing is on the website. Guys, if you pay for the cheap service, you cannot expect an amazing level of customer service. It's an oxymoron. The Empire Legal conveyancing experience is nothing like the reviews I just read out. So no, we can't do it cheaper.  Heed caution when someone is selling a cheap professional service. Google reviews should be the benchmark used before you make a decision.

Not trusting a letterbox drop flyer or even a professional referral. These professionals referring you could be getting paid for the introduction. We don't do that at Empire Legal. Trust the social proof of what people are saying online about a company. Filter by the lowest ratings, have a read before you commit to what can be a stressful, costly mistake.

Hope that helps guys. Just remember, you might want to spend that little bit extra to have peace of mind and a smooth sail . Here at Empire Legal, we've helped over 10,000 people get into their properties
